Summer is here and lots of company coming and activities planned. Jazz Festival is near the top of my list, as is pushing paint around. Hope y'all have a fabulous, creative summer. See you in September.
Hi Jay, You're a breath of fresh air, lol! Just taking my lead from my favorite tv shows (Person of Interest, Elementary...) If I have to wait, so do you.
Just want to thank you again for your interest and I hope you have a wonderful summer as well. (You know, one of these days I'm going to figure out who you are and where you hide your creations - I did mention one of my favorite shows is Elementary, eh?)
Hi Vickie, I don't hide them, I give them away if they are good enough. As for who I am,.... a fan of yours. Did you see my question about the wire? Special wire? Go to the beach this summer and get some ideas for the Saga of the Sand Sweeper. I bet she'll show up. Go early. Jay
Hi Jay, yes, I did see your question about the wire, and it was promptly buried under a pile of spring cleaning! Really sorry about that! I studied the pic and could not figure out where that lovely warm reddish gleam comes from. I use natural copper wire, uncoated, so, if anything, it should get duller as it ages. I photograph under ott light (daylight), but I have halogen pot ceiling lights, and I've noticed those lights lend a reddish glow to my increasingly platinum hair. I had thought my true nature was finally coming through (I'm really a redhead at heart!), but now I wonder if it wasn't just the halogen lights, lol. I appreciate your comments about the Sand Sweeper. Yes, the music is just like the sound from rubbing the rim of a fine crystal glass - sort of lovely, haunting, with a touch of almost unbearably brittle shrillness to it. I have an idea for representing the crystals in her hair. Hope I can pull it off. Drat, now you've got my imagination going again! The vessel is interesting. You're right - it unfolded in the doing. Still need to put the finishing touches on it, but want that to happen as the process unfolds. Take care, Vickie
Have a great summer:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patricia. I hope you do too.
DeleteAWWWWWW. Summer hiatus for the Sand Sweeper? You gonna leave us hanging? Well have fun.
